First Day of Recording...

I've added some photos to the "Lullaby CD Coming..." page, please check them out. We had a great day Sunday! This project is making me feel connected to music in a new way, and it feels really good. So different from anything I've done before. Soon I'll be posting some of the songs...

Fun Week!

What a great week I've had gearing up for recording tomorrow! It's amazing to feel a dream coming true. I've had a few very inspiring rehearsals this week with some great musicians. This is a hurdle, this project of mine; I have felt every emotion from pure joy to complete terror. From the rocking chair, where I held my baby and made up song after song to soothe and delight him (not to mention put him to sleep!) to the studio, where my "baby" (now 12 years old) will be singing with me! Keep checking in as these songs take shape - I'll post again soon.

It's Finally Happening!

I will start recording the lullabies this Sunday, March 27! I'm rehearsing with some wonderful musicians this week, and can hardly wait to have this project seriously underway. It's been a long time coming!

Well, I figured out how to add video, so now there are two to look at - one of them in the left sidebar and one on the TAL page. If anyone knows how to add an mp3 to a blog - tell me!

I think it's ready...

Wow, I'm ready to let folks know about this blog! I've had fun this week putting it all together. I've never had all my musical pursuits together in one place before. I am still working on how to post mp3's of songs and how to post video, so look for that hopefully soon. I hope you'll check in now and then, and let me know what you think...

Welcome!

I'm getting so excited about my new CD of lullabies - I've had this project in mind for over ten years, and am finally doing it! There will be nine lullabies, 7 of them originals. I have a wonderful group of musicians working with me on the project, and am hoping to finish it by this spring. I will post songs as I progress.
